Fluke 902 FC HVAC True-RMS Clamp Meter

The Fluke 902 FC HVAC True-RMS Clamp Meter is a smart clamp meter that is ideally suited for HVAC applications thanks to its capacity to measure temperature and microamps in addition to the standard electrical variables associated with clamp meters. These include AC/DC voltage (600V), AC current (600A), resistance (60kΩ), and capacitance (1000µF).

This variety of potential measurements makes the Fluke 902 FC appropriate for a range of HVAC applications including assessment of flame detectors and pilot light sensors as well as checking flue gas temperature. Furthermore, the large resistance measurement range allows assessment of thermistors and the device can analyse electrical circuits involved in HVAC systems such as start and run motor capacitors and variable frequency drives.

Results are shown on the clear, backlit screen which also has min/max/avg recording and data hold to get a clear picture of system performance. The device automatically detects whether voltage is AC or DC and displays this on screen.

Bluetooth connectivity allows the Fluke 902 FC to communicate results for display on a smartphone or tablet device. The light weight and slim shape enable easy transportation and use whilst the slim jaw has a simple trigger operation and can fit into tight spaces. Simple dial and push button operation means it is straightforward to use and that the settings are always clearly denoted. The Fluke 902 FC is safety rated as Cat IV to 300V and Cat III to 600V and comes supplied with test leads, an 80BK integrated DMM probe and a handy soft carry case.

The free Fluke Connect App is available on both Android and iOS smartphones and tablets and allows the user to instantly upload results from Fluke smart devices to the FlukeCloud database. This database can be accessed via the app from anywhere in the world so it not only provides a handy, smart database, it also allows colleagues to check and analyse data even when they are not on site.
